Why Frameless

Heavy glass. No frame. Nothing to date the bathroom.

A frameless enclosure is one of the highest-impact upgrades in a remodel — it opens the room, shows off the tile work, and has no aluminum framing to corrode or trap mildew. We measure every opening digitally and by hand, because tile is never as plumb as it looks — that measure is the difference between a door that seals and a door that leaks.

  • 3/8″ and 1/2″ tempered safety glass, polished edges
  • Low-iron (ultra-clear) glass available — no green edge tint
  • Solid-metal hinges, handles, and clamps in matched finishes
  • Optional easy-clean protective coating to cut water spotting

How It Works

From measure to first shower

01

Photos & Quote

Text photos of the opening and rough dimensions — we’ll give you a ballpark path and schedule the free measure.

02

Field Measure

We measure the finished tile opening precisely, confirm swing, hardware, and finish, and finalize your itemized quote.

03

Fabrication

Glass is cut, polished, drilled for hardware, and tempered. (Tempering comes last — the glass can’t be trimmed afterward, which is why the measure matters.)

04

Installation

Most enclosures install in a few hours. We set, seal, and adjust the door swing — then it cures overnight before first use.

Pricing, Honestly

What drives the cost of a shower enclosure?

That’s why we don’t publish price tables — your free measure produces an exact, itemized number instead of a range that changes later. Pair the shower with a custom vanity mirror cut to match and both get measured in one visit.

Questions

Shower glass, answered straight

What does a frameless shower door cost?
It depends on configuration, glass thickness, size, hardware style and finish, and specialty glass options. Every enclosure is custom, so we measure first and give you an itemized written quote — the measure and quote are free.
How thick is the glass? Is it safe?
Frameless enclosures typically use 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered safety glass — several times stronger than regular glass and the code-required safety glazing for showers. Hardware is solid brass or stainless, rated for the glass weight.
How long from measure to install?
Fabrication — cutting, polishing, and tempering custom glass — drives the schedule; installation itself usually takes a few hours. Your written quote confirms the timeline, and the enclosure is typically usable the next day once seals cure.
Can you build a steam enclosure?
Yes — floor-to-ceiling glass, a transom panel, tight perimeter seals, and a vent when the design calls for one. Just flag it at the measure so it’s spec’d correctly from the start.
What finishes are available?
Chrome, matte black, brushed nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze are the most requested, and we can match most major fixture packages. Hinges, handles, towel bars, and clamps all share the finish.
Do you repair existing shower doors?
Yes — sagging doors, worn seals, loose hinges, and broken panels are everyday service work for us. See our service & repair page or text a photo of the problem.
